Refund and cancellation policy
How deposits, cancellations, and incomplete audit fieldwork are handled for Cloudsyncapps engagements.
This policy applies to professional audit and review engagements with Cloudsyncapps. It does not cover physical products, software licences, or subscription plans, which we do not sell.
Eligibility for refunds
Refunds relate to fees prepaid under an accepted fee letter. Website browsing is free; no payment is taken through this site.
Timeframe to request
Cancellation or refund requests should be sent in writing to info@cloudsyncapps.digital as soon as practicable, and no later than 14 days after the event giving rise to the request (for example, client-initiated cancellation).
Full refund
A full refund of any deposit is available if Cloudsyncapps cancels the engagement before fieldwork begins for reasons within our control (for example, sudden conflict of interest discovered after acceptance).
Partial refund
If you cancel after accepting the fee letter but before kickoff, we refund the deposit minus an administrative charge of 10% of the deposit (minimum HK$2,000) for scheduling and preparatory review already performed.
If fieldwork has begun, fees for time incurred at agreed rates are payable; any unused deposit balance after those fees may be refunded.
Non-refundable items
- Fees for work already performed and delivered (draft or final reports issued)
- Third-party registry search fees and similar disbursements already incurred with your approval
- Fixed-fee pre-award tender reviews once the integrity memo has been delivered
Refund process
Email info@cloudsyncapps.digital with your engagement reference, reason for the request, and payment details used for the deposit. We confirm receipt within three business days and state the calculation of any refund.
Processing time and method
Approved refunds are processed within 21 business days to the original payment method where possible, or by bank transfer to a Hong Kong account you nominate in writing.
Cancellation and rescheduling
You may reschedule kickoff once without charge if notice is given at least five business days before the agreed date. Later reschedules may incur a rescheduling fee of HK$3,000 to cover diary disruption.
Deposits
Deposits (typically 30% of the agreed fee) secure team allocation. They are applied to final billing and are refundable only as described above.
No-shows
If client contacts fail to attend a confirmed kickoff or site day without 24 hours’ notice, that day may be billed at the day rate stated in the fee letter and is not refundable.
Work already started
Once sampling, interviews, or file testing has commenced, time incurred is billable. We provide a time summary with any partial refund calculation.
Exceptions
Statutory cooling-off rights, if any apply to your situation under Hong Kong law, are not limited by this policy. Engagement letters may state additional terms for multi-phase retainers; those terms prevail where they expressly differ.
